What information we collect
Information you provide: account details (like email and password), profile information (name, age or age range, location, trade or field), and content you upload (projects, photos, videos, credentials, recommendations).
Information collected automatically: basic usage information such as pages viewed and device type, used to keep the platform reliable and improve the experience.
Information from others: recommendations submitted about you by teachers, coaches, or supervisors you invited.
How we use your information
- Build and display your VizID profile.
- Confirm that recommendations were written by the person invited.
- Keep the platform safe and prevent abuse.
- Improve features based on how the product is used.
- Respond to your messages and support requests.
How you control visibility
Every profile can be public or private. You choose which details are displayed (like exact age vs. age range, or city vs. general region). You can change these settings at any time from your dashboard.
How we share information
We share only what's necessary to run the platform — for example, with the trusted providers that host our data or send our emails. We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it with advertisers.
How we protect your data
Connections are encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Access to production systems is restricted. See our Security page for details on the practices in place today.
How to delete your account
Email our contact form from the address associated with your account. We'll confirm deletion within a few business days. Some minimal records may be retained where required by law.
